First steps

DynBrowser works like an ordinary browser with tabs, and adds its own pages that read data straight from Dynamics 365. This page shows where to find things.

Signing in to D365

DynBrowser reads D365 with your own Microsoft account.

  1. Click Sign in to D365 in the toolbar at the top right.
  2. Your default browser opens Microsoft's sign-in page. Sign in as you do for D365.
  3. Back in DynBrowser the button shows your name. You stay signed in; next time this happens by itself.

Use the same button to sign out.

Tip

Do you see "D365 sign-in is not configured"? Then your organisation has not set up the sign-in yet. Contact your IT department; they will find the steps under Signing in to D365.

Opening pages

  • D365 Views in the toolbar opens DynBrowser's pages, such as Products, the Orders Dashboard, Sales Orders and the Article Forecast.
  • You only see the pages your organisation has and that are enabled for you. Missing a page? Ask your administrator.
  • + opens a new tab. In it you can use D365 itself or any other website, as in an ordinary browser.

The start page

When DynBrowser starts you see the start page with your bookmarks and shortcuts. Add a bookmark with the Add bookmark button in the toolbar.

Language and theme

  • Most pages have an NL/EN button at the top right. Changing the language applies to every window at once.
  • Change theme and dark mode picks the colours and turns dark mode on or off.
  • Other preferences are under Browser Settings (the gear).

Updates

DynBrowser looks for new versions by itself. When there is one, the update button in the toolbar shows it. After an update DynBrowser shows what is new.

If your IT department manages DynBrowser through Microsoft Intune, the button says "Updates managed by IT (Intune)". You don't need to do anything.

Help

The i menu at the top right contains:

  • Documentation: these pages;
  • Licence Agreement;
  • View application logs: useful when the help desk asks for it;
  • About DynBrowser: version and contact details.

If something doesn't work, first look at Troubleshooting or contact your own administrator.
